2. The Samaritan by John Lara (complusory play for 2023 form threes) replaces A Doll’s House by Henry Ibsen. This means that A Doll’s House by Henry Ibsen will be studied for the last time by Form Fours of year 2023 and tested as an extract.

OPTIONAL BOOKS

1. Artist of the floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro (optional novel for 2022 form threes) replaces The Pearl by John Steinbeck. The Pearl by John Steinbeck was therefore tested for the last time in KCSE 2022.
2. A Silent song and other stories edited by Godwin Siundu (optional short stories for 2022 form threes) replaces Memories We Lost. Memories We Lost was therefore tested for the last time in KCSE 2022.
3. Parliament of Owls by Adipo Sidang (optional play for 2023 form threes) replaces Inheritance by David Mulwa. Inheritance by David Mulwa will be tested for the last time in year 2023 as an optional novel
